Early this morning, the Senate voted to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), except for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol (BP). CBP and FLETC employees represented by NTEU would all be funded in the bill.
Legislation to fund all DHS except for ICE and BP has been on the table for over a month, but Senate Republicans and the White House just now agreed to defer action on funding immigration enforcement. Both ICE and BP will continue to operate using funding from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
House action on this legislation is expected as soon as today. Urge Your members of Congress to vote to end this shutdown and ensure that all NTEU CBP and FLETC employees receive their pay.
