NTEU Chapter 10 (IRS Chicago) recently helped 15-term Rep. Bobby L. Rush (D-Ill.) celebrate his upcoming retirement.
During his three decades in Congress, Rush has been a steadfast supporter of federal employees and NTEU’s issues.
His support for fair federal pay raises, paid family leave, workplace rights, health and safety issues, and more earned him a 100 percent NTEU voting record.
In January, Rush formally announced that he will not run for a 16th term in Congress.
“Over his long career in Congress, Congressman Rush has consistently supported NTEU and federal employees,” said Chapter 10 President Lorie McCann, who presented Rush with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the chapter (pictured below).

Rush is a longtime civil rights activist and was a community organizer in Chicago prior to his election in 1992.
