The number of colleges giving federal employees a break on their tuition has increased to 15.
The Office of Personnel Management recently added four more higher education institutions to its Federal Academic Alliance, which makes it easier for federal employees to afford extra training and pursue higher degrees.
OPM announced in a memo to agencies that it is partnering with the Catholic University of America’s Metropolitan School of Professional Studies, Pace University’s iPace Program, Park University and Utica College to provide reduced tuition rates or scholarships to federal employees.
The agreement also allows federal employee spouses and dependents to attend Park University and Utica College at a discount.
Other universities offer various discounts to federal employees as well including: the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, Central Michigan University, Penn State University World, the University of Maryland University College, and Champlain College.
